Happy Easter!

What a great celebration today! My friend, Stephanie, wrote, “Happy Easter everyone!! This is the day the Lord has made..let us rejoice and be glad!! He is risen!! For us!!”

We got to spend this wonderful day with friends and family, but one of the best surprises was when our neighbors and their sweet little boy came by with a surprise for us...fresh eggs from their chickens and homemade jelly! These are my absolute favorite kinds of gifts!

I just can’t pass up the daffodils that Trader Joe’s has been selling! It’s definitely my impulse buy. So, when I was given these daffodils by my Goddaughter's other Godmother I melted. I’m usually a Winter girl, but this year I’m loving Spring!

Tempe or Bust!

It’s bittersweet that a good friend is moving to Arizona, but I love Arizona!!! Anyway, there was a going away celebration in his honor and the party favors were also the center pieces...sweet potted flowers. What a great idea! I’ve seen this before, but I had forgotten how much I love this idea! The menus (I wish I had taken a picture of them) were also personalized for the occasion, which is another great idea and way to add to an event even more. As part of the going away gift, I gave a picture and his challenge is to find where in “lovely” Arizona this was taken. Good luck Joe!!!

Oh Baby!

Two exciting things: I became a Godmother today and my cousin is going to have a baby! This exciting news calls for a scrapbook!!! Check out s.e.i. ...I love them so, so, so, so much! They have pre-made (well, you have to actually put them together, but it's so simple) scrapbooks, so all the recipient has to do is place in the photos and a few journals. So awesome!

Before and After!

This owl was purchased at Value Village in MARYLAND last summer! Value Village is the coolest thrift store that I have been to and my friend and I got so many great finds. This owl looked handmade, which is why I loved it in the first place. It has been displayed for a few months this year, but when Spring finally rolled around I decided it has to be painted with bright colors! So...with out any further ado...the before and after owl!

I LOVE Arizona!

I made this scarf in Arizona! Everyone thought I was crazy because it was just starting to get super hot! :) Despite the heat, Arizona is a wonderful place with great people! We hope to visit again soon!

P.S. This is a puff stitch! Here is a video link! The yarn is Stitch Nation by Debbie Stoller. Super easy to work with and awesome colors!

My first Etsy purchases! I LOVE them so much and they all have something to do with the Olympics...of course!

Ceramic tiles! These were painted at my Aunt's studio, but you can make something similar at places like Color Me Mine and Cafe Mud!

I have loved these bags for many years. They belonged to a friend of mine and just recently handed down to me. They are crazy quilted bags and they are so fun!

More ceramics! YAY!

Another Thanksgiving craft! These little guys were made from a doily, silk flowers, and a wooden button. So sweet!

Number 27

Upcycled Napkin Rings! We found these white rings at a quilt show and made some felt heart designs to go on top.

Number 26

Fused glass crosses made by my Aunt!

Number 25

Scarves! Just in time for summer! :)

Number 24

Clipboards! Mistake: we painted on the inside (this is still nice, but I recommend a design on the other side so it's more visible). :)

Number 23

Felt Hearts! Same idea as the felt cases.

These felt coasters were requested by a very patient supporter, Nicole! We hope you like them! We will get these to you soon, along with the rest of your pieces! Thank you so much for your support and patience!

These eye glass holders are made from felt, decorated with more felt, and whip stitched together to finish them off!

Number 17

Custom painted hat for my dad! We used paint pins...they work so well on many types of fabric!

Number 16

So every year for Thanksgiving, my family and I make a craft. This year we made winter wonderland houses. I apparently didn't get the memo and made a beach house instead. :)
Create your custom house by buying a paper mache form and using scrapbook paper and glue to embellish your perfect house!

I saw a mermaid similar to this style years ago at the beach, but it was so expensive. Here is my attempt...

I took muslin fabric and drew a basic mermaid shape. I stitched the pieces together and stuffed it. I added gesso to give the piece some stability and the painted and glued on the details.
