Warning!

This is what happens when you spray shellac boxes and lids without putting something under the items first.  I giggle every day when I walk up the porch.  And then I giggle again when I get to the door because there is another spot like this, but that one has ovals where we sprayed rocks (of course... everyone paints and sprays rocks right???).  Visually, it's good when things are grouped in odd numbers, so I'll do this one more time and from then on I'll take the proper precautions to protect the concrete for any future spraying of shellac.

Scarves Round 3

Wait a minute... these are BEANIES, not scarves!?!  That's right!  After many years of avoiding beanies because you have count and concentrate, I finally made one!  Not the fancy cute ones (my aunt made those), but the charming and imperfect black one.  As you may know, we are making lots of scarves for people, but one of them wanted a beanine.... ahhhhh!  It was about time I learned how to make one though and thankfully my aunt let me come over for hours and hours and taught me how to make this... masterpiece?  I usually keep the first I make of anything, but I gave this one away.  Lately, I'm really just enjoying making a piece and then passing it along to someone who appreciates it.

Scarves Round 2

Here's a few more!  Green is a very popular color and thankfully it's my favorite color, so I don't mind looking at it for the minutes... and hours... and days that it takes me to make one of these! :)  We have duplicate colors just so you know.  We're not putting the same pictures twice.  I really made all of these!  We finally got a little creative with our packaging too, instead of just wadding them up.  More to come...

Scarves!!!

We are making a lot of scarves for a lot of great people! Here are some of the finished ones. We will keep updating this as we finish more. For some reason I always end up making scarves right before summer. :)

Easter Idea!

Oh my goodness... this is a first I think! We finally posted a holdiay craft before the actually holiday! Wooohooo! Here is a super fun and fast Easter DIY. All you do is draw two ovals and cut them out. Zig zag cut one of the ovals and you have the "pouch" part of your egg holder. Set the zig zag cut piece on top of the the oval and then add some confetti or gLiTtEr. Laminate your project and then score across the zig zag to open the pocket. Fill with fun treats and enjoy! Can't wait to pass these guys out to some very special people who we are lucky enough to spend Easter with!

Mail!

Today I found the sweetest package in the mail from my dear friends Linna and Jenny. We haven't seen each other in years, but that doesn't matter because we are so good about picking up right where we left off when we talk. I wish we we were closer, but in the meantime we send fun things like this through the mail. I was seriously cracking up from the minute I saw the meat card. The best part is that it says Happy Birthday on the back!!! My birthday isn't until December 31st. I'm for sure going to write back and send them some goodies. And, I might just send Birthday cards too! ;)

I miss...

ceramics and all of my CSUB art friends.
