It doesn’t get anymore DIY than this!

Dirt under my nails and a blister on my hand…any guesses on what could have caused this? If you guessed FARMING then you are correct!!! I am visiting a friend in Maryland and she has her own farm!!! She is working on a plot of land on Dominic’s Farm and is part of CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). She is doing amazing things and I was so excited to be able to help! I was asking her tons of questions and it made me want to farm! I don’t know if I could do what she does! She is amazing and dedicated! Her produce is so fresh and we cooked some of it up the other night for dinner. How rad is that!?! To say you grew your own dinner!!! This has motivated me to dig up some dirt in my own back yard and get to planting. It is hard work, but so worth it! Go to catherinekrikstan.com to read and weed!

We did it!!! We finally did it!!! We created an ESTY account! It is so sad right now, but soon it's going to look so RAD...but first we have to figure it out! It goes witout saying that we are super excited about all this! We can't wait to get it up and running and to get some of our items listed, but we also can't wait to check out all the other great artists! I have been wanting to purchase some of the awesome things I've seen on Etsy and I see a haul post in the future! We are also registered on the Threadbanger fourms and we need to get posting over there!

Hair Flair!!!

It’s Spring and we have been busy gardening away! Everything is blooming and there are lots of fun colors everywhere, but then the worst thing possible happens...hair gets in your face!!! This is a true story and has happened to us on more than one occasion! So, you're busy digging away in the dirt and then you have to stop to sweep your hair away-yuck! Well, no more!!! We are going to have our hair clipped up, pinned up, and tied up to avoid this problem! These are pretty tame styles, but if you think some are less than mello then wait until you see our next designs! They are super crazy and fun! So, slap on some sunscreen and get to tending your daffodils in style!

Socks-On!

Attention everyone!!! We have some exciting news! A friend of ours has created an organization called Socks-On! The goal is to join in the fight against Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy (DM)! Throughout the year, Sock-On! will have events and fundraisers, so don’t miss out! Check out Socks-On! for more details! The first fundraiser was a successful Super Bowl Party! Of course we have to put a creative spin to things, so here’s the scoop! Our friend Linna (Linna Designs) designed the logo, the very creative Grammy Glo made the windsocks and the cards, and we made the raffle board! The food was amazing thanks to Cafe Med! There was also the coolest handmade raffle prize...a beaded service set! I’ll get the details on this artist! Her work is beautiful and she’s local! And then there are the SOCKS!!! If you don’t have a pair, you need a pair! Come out to an event or email me and I’ll get the bracelet and socks out to you! Please tell everyone you know so we can get the word out! The next event is a blood drive! Check it out in the events section!
