A lot of people we know have, or have recently had, a "bun
in the oven" if you know what we mean.
;) We only have plastic in the
oven.

The Eleventh Day!
If you don't know, now you know... that I'm a
Godmother!!! I love this lil' lady of
mine and her sweet lil' sis. and was so excited when their mother (pretty much
my own seester) was also a winner of our contest! This was right around the time when Brave
came out and I had to have that movie for them.
We also had to make reindeer headbands for them.
The Tenth Day!
My uncle gets the win for the 10th day contest prize! We had forgotten all about the contest until
he messaged us, but we were so excited he "commented" (he actually
emailed us, so we commented for him... he's new to fb and we still don't know how
it all works) because we knew we'd have to do a camo theme. We love camo!!! Below are all the goodies we came up
with.
The Ninth Day!
I'm trying to get into a Grad program and there are so many
hoops to jump though... it's crazy!!! When I went to CSUB, I just walked right in
and out of a Grad program. I learned so
much through the Reading and Literacy program, but alas, budget cuts don't
favor reading programs. This was
definitely a blessing in disguise because I'm now a Speech Pathologist and LOVE
my job!!! But... I'm not finished
yet. I still have to get through three
more years of school and before that, get accepted into Grad school. One of the steps for the application process
is to take the GRE, which of course was out of town. So we tried to make it as fun as possible and
make it into a road trip! One of our
good friends (who by the way is a fantastic quilter) joined us and helped us
find where to go. We get lost
easily. I while I was testing they were
watching a movie and eating. They
discovered this cute little pasty restaurant and they brought me back the most
delicious beet soup EVER!!! Since then,
we've decided that we need to try to recreate our versions of their bites. Therefore, our ninth gift to our friend and
blog contest winner has a pasty theme.
Hopefully ours come out just as delicious and the ones we got in SLO.

The Eighth Day!
We made quite a few Peace Doves for family this year because
we all needed a little peace reminder.
We offered a contest on our Facebook page and since we go to church with one
of the winners, we thought a Peace Dove would be fitting for her as well. One of my favorites quotes that I try to live be
each day is, "Peace starts within." Here's to a peaceful 2013!
